April brought us many brilliant things. Public Holidays. Thank you, Jesus and all the ANZACs. It brought us cooler weather, thank you Zephyr. And it brought us Grace-iousness. I'm talking about Japan's Grace Gris de Koshu.
For those who are unfamiliar with the Koshu variety, it is an indigenous grape to the Japanese isles, and produces very complex wines, such as the Gris de Koshu.
It is highly versatile in its application: Drink it will salmon smoked on cedar planks, eat it with salami and mozzarella pizza rossa, or a barked-up bistecca with potatoes au gratin. No matter what you eat it with, you'll feel refreshed and somehow very clean after drinking it. It's my tonic of virtue. Get some Grace-iousness in your life.
I ran a competition on Facebook and Instagram over the month of April to win a $350 voucher for CaptainJamescCork.com. The terms were simply spend in April, and every $50 spent earns an entry into the draw to win. We had a strong response, and out came a lucky gal, who I hope is thirsty this May! I've posted the winner on Instagram and Facebook-so if you don't follow me already, be sure to do so today, so you don't miss out on the next competition.
For Mother's Day this weekend, Go hard and get her a coveted Champagne Pack--or just buy it for yourself and share some with her. Or not. I know that if I didn't share Champagne with my mother...I actually don't want to think about what would happen.
